Back to the grind

Hey everyone, how are you?

Today, after two days of bliss, am back to the grind. Although, it was a nice couple of days it is good to get back to my routine.

This morning I am going to be getting ready to get the day going. I will be woken up by the cat at my usual time and will have to get up. Then later in the morning I have a meeting, where I am finding out the results of a test that I did a while ago. I have been asking about the result for a while now, and I am finally finding out. I am both anxious and intrigued to know what the test says. The meeting will take up to an hour, I think. After the meeting I will most likely be coming home and getting on with some writing. Although, there is another meeting that I may have to go to; I am not sure yet.

Writing wise I want to get started on the backlog that I have. I need to get the short story back on track and get writing the start of it. I think having the two days not having to do any writing has freed up my mind a little bit. I also need to look at the novel some more and get on with decided whether it needs a rewrite of whether I can carry on from where I left off. And then there is the mental health story that I am working on. I feel in an okay place at the moment, and feel that I can write it, although, that may change at any moment. I also have other pieces of research to do and complete and email off.

If I get the chance today I also want to get in some reading and some drum practice. I didn’t do any reading whilst I was away, I kind of crashed out asleep. And when I woke the next morning, I had to get up and check out. Drum practice wise, I need to get on with the rudiments and reading exercises. I have been doing them at the start of the week, and although I may not have a drum lesson booked in. I want to keep up the practice, and keep the speed and rhythm up.

Thank you for reading and I hope that you have a good day.
