Writing in between appointments

Hey everyone, how are you?

I am trying to write in between appointments yesterday and today. It has had mixed results so far.

Writing

Writing wise yesterday can be written off as I was unable to get a good amount of writing done before my doctor appointment. And I was tired by the time I got back and just wanted to chill and relax. It had also been a hard day for me emotionally, so, my head was not in the best place for me to write either. But the main thing is that I tried and I did get some words down. Even if they end up being edited out it is better than nothing. One of the main goals I need to set for being a writer is to write everyday. It doesn’t have to be much or perfect but it is just about getting into the routine of writing each day.

One way to do this would be a journal, but I am hopeless at keep a journal; unless you count the blogs. In the past when I have tried to keep a paper journal it has worked for a while but then it just trails off and stops. I’ve tried it numerous times and each time is the same result.

Today, I need to get some writing in before I go out again. I think that it is going to be writing on the novel draft as that is something that I can do without having to switch on the laptop. I am going to try and write for up to an hour and see where it takes me. I may continue on when the hour is up or I may stop. It all depends on how it is going and what time I start. Mornings are not good for me but I have to go out in the afternoon so it is the only time I have. As I like to chill in the evening.

Thank you for reading and I hope that you have a good day.

Annette
