Managed to write

Hey everyone, how are you?

Yesterday I managed to write, even though I still had a massive headache. And today, I’m going to be writing some more before giving another talk.

Headache

The headache that I have had since the weekend has really tried to stop me from getting things done. But I have been stubborn and done my best to ignore it and get on with writing. I did a good amount yesterday and am nearly finished on the first part of a project. And can move on to the second part soon. I don’t know how much I can reveal at the moment, so, I am limiting what I say on here. All I can say is that hard work always pays off. I am going to be doing some more of it today before I go out. It means writing in the morning, but I am going to make myself do it.

I also managed to get on with some reading as well. And am hoping to continue to read the book I’ve started whilst I am travelling to the university to help give a talk. The book is called “Chasing the Scream” and is by Johann Hari. I read his most recent book a little while ago and really enjoyed it so, I decided to read this one as well. It is about drug addiction and is already fascinating. He has also done some TED Talks on the topic as well. I don’t know how much I will get read whilst travelling but I am trying to read at every opportunity.

In the afternoon I am going to be giving a talk at the university. It will be the same talk as I did last week. Just to a larger number of students and maybe for a few minutes longer. I am looking forward to it. Even though I know that I am going to be very nervous and anxious just beforehand. But I know that I can do it because I have done it before. The talk is on mental health and my journey along with the physical health complaints that I also have. The talk won’t be long but it should still be good.

Thank you for reading and I hope that you have a good day.

Annette
