Writing Wednesday

Hey everyone, how are you?

Today is writing Wednesday and I am going to be continuing on from the writing that I started yesterday.

I started writing again yesterday, as I am feeling a lot better. And it felt good to be back at the desk and getting on with things. I still have a lot of things to catch up on, but at least I am able to look at screens again; without my head wanting to explode. And today I will be continuing on, trying to get through the long to do list that I have. Writing wise, today, there are two things that I am going to be focusing on. The first being the first week of an online course that I have started. The second, will be the novel, as I have so much of it going around in my head. The online course is on cyber security. As technology moves forward and we become more and more reliant on it, we need to know more about it. And I have found some courses where I can teach myself things like security and coding.

Going back to the novel, will be more familiar territory. Out of all the projects that I am involved with, the novel has been the one that I have missed the most. As I am always thinking about it and have ideas of what I can do to the characters. I have a chapter that I started writing ages ago that I want to finish. Then, I will be going back to the start of the novel and rewriting it. This I am looking forward to the most as there is so much that I want to do, that will improve it. I am reading “Consider This” by Chuck Palahniuk currently and it has so much useful advice on how to write. I am learning so much from the book. It is only the second book I have read on writing and I am finding it invaluable.

At some point during the day, I will have to go out. As I have some things that I need to pick up and collect. But apart from that I will just be sat at my desk writing. If I have time, I will also scribble down some ideas for some new short stories. The current short stories are available here. It has been a while since I have written a short story and I have missed it, but I have just been focused on other projects. But I have ideas floating around in my head and I want to get them down on paper. Even if it is just writing the idea down and then finding out that it may not work, it will just be good to get it out of my head. It should be a good productive day and if I get the chance then in the evening I will get some more reading done as well. Fiction wise, I’m currently reading “Beloved” by Toni Morrison.

Thank you for reading and I hope that you have a good day.
