Hey everyone, how are you?
It is very likely that today I will be writing on little to no sleep. As I have been awake since early Saturday morning.
It feels as though my brain has been disconnected from the rest of my body. As I try to even do the most simple of tasks. Being awake for so long really starts to mess with you both physically and mentally. Granted it is not the longest time that I have been awake, but even being awake for almost forty eight hours is enough. Even writing this is taking all of my energy and concentration. I didn’t manage to do much yesterday, so, today I need to write. The good thing about not sleeping is that it gives me extra time to do the writing that has piled up. Meaning that I do not have to rush as much. So, if I am not sleeping tonight I will be at my desk. I will still try and go to sleep at the usual time and keep my bedtime routine but that is not guarantee that I will sleep.
I don’t know what project I will do more of in the night, but there is plenty to choose from, including:
- Book chapter.
- Short story.
I also have some other things that I could do, but I’m not going to list them all. Whatever I do, do I will have to check once I have started to sleep again, as it will be very likely that I will have made mistakes. I also have some little jobs to do around the house, as I am home alone this weekend and need to do them before my mum comes home this evening.
Thankfully, I don’t have a massively busy week coming up. Which is good because I can sleep in and get a couple of hours nap if and when I need to. I’m also going to be getting on with some reading and hope to finish the non-fiction book that I am reading at the moment. It is really good and I’m glad that I am reading it, it was given to me and it is not a book I would necessarily choose myself. I have another book lined up to read next. During the day I will need to get in some drum practice, I would not do this at night as the neighbours would kill me. I’m hoping that drumming will help to tire me out so that I can get some more sleep.
