Hey everyone, how are you?
After a weekend on poor mental health and lack of focus, today, I am going to be back writing.
I didn’t write over the weekend, I had intentions to. But my mental health went down the further I isolated myself and it stopped me from writing. I am going to have to go out today and get some fresh air for a bit to try and hope that it helps to improve my mood. So, that in the afternoon, I can get back to writing. It is the only plan I have to get myself back on track. When I go out the plan is to get a book or two to read. As reading is one of the things that has helped me over the years to stay stable in the dark times. And it definitely helped over the weekend, as I finished two books that I was reading. Reading, I find helps with my writing and to be a writer you have to be a reader.
I need to go out as it will have been a week since I last went out and it is what is getting to my mental health. And that is what has been stopping me from writing over the weekend. The writing that I want to do today will be on the transcribing as it is something that needs to be completed and emailed off. I am just over ten minutes into the audio file and have just over twenty minutes left. I don’t know if I will get it all written today, but to make a bigger dent in it would be good to do. This is because it is something that is looming over me. And I just want to get it done and sent back to the researchers. If I find that I cannot face doing the transcribing, then I will write more of the short story. That is something that I will find easier to do and it will take less concentration.
I want to essentially hit the ground running today and if that means going out then so be it. I don’t have the virus so it is okay for me to do so. I also have appointments this week and I am hoping that they will go ahead. But today I am going to get back into routine and back focused on what I need to do.
