Hey everyone, how are you?
I am trying to get back into a writing routine and it is hard to get back into the habit.
Keeping a routine can be hard for me as things have been tough lately. With the Coronavirus and having to self isolate, it has put my health completely out of whack. But after speaking to my doctor and some friends I have come to the realisation that having a routine is one thing that is helping me stay sane. And in this routine is time in the afternoon for writing. So, I need to get back onto it and that is what I am planning on doing. So, today, I will try and get more writing done and set myself up so that it becomes more and more normal to do so. I want to write but as I mention in my other blog things have been dominated by my mental health.
Writing for me can be a great emotional outlet, so, I want it to become that again. Today, I want to write some more of the book chapter. As I have emailed the person that I am writing it with and we need to get on with it. We have had some more information from the editor, so, I need to read through that and see what it says. Then I can start to write part of the chapter. It is going to be the only piece of writing that I a focused on today. As trying to do too much will become overwhelming and it will do more damage to me than good. But what I will do is break down any screen time, so that, I give myself some time to rest.
The other things that I am going to be adding to my routine are drumming and reading. Both things that I have been slacking on lately. I want to do both as I enjoy them and I have the time to put effort into both of them. Drumming, I will be looking at videos of the drum group I am a member of and going through and learning new things. Reading wise, I have a couple of books that I want to finish. I aim to finish them completely over the weekend, as there is no way I can do both in one day. So my routine will consist loosely of gaming, writing, drumming and reading. So now that I have mentioned it in a blog I need to get on with it.
