New Week

Hey everyone, how are you?

It’s the start of a new week and one that isn’t too busy until the end of the week.

Today, is mostly going to be a writing day again. As I continue with what I started over the weekend. I got a fair amount of writing done yesterday, although I was writing mindfully, as what I was writing about was quite triggering in places. To do this I made sure that I took breaks and took my mind off of what I was writing. And allow myself to process the information that I was gaining. I was happy with the amount that I got done but there is still a lot to do as it is only one section of many that will make up the chapter. I also played around with some mind maps for the short story and the novel to help take my mind off of the chapter as well. Today, I will try and finish off this particular part of the section of the chapter and move on. I am writing by hand so will need to proof read and type it up so that I can upload it ready for Wednesday.

I have no reason to go out today, so, will have the whole day at home to write and read and drum. I finished the self-help book yesterday and the review is up on my other blog. I am now reading a fiction book that I picked up in Stratford-upon-Avon last year. It is called “Night Of Camp David” by Fletcher Knebel. As I write this I have not started it yet, but I remember when I bought the book I was intrigued by it. I have not read anything else by this author so I am interested in seeing how it goes. I also have the other non-fiction book to read which is “A Long Walk To Freedom” by Nelson Mandela. I have started it and want to get more of it read throughout the week. I don’t know how long it will take me to finish as it is a big book, but I am hoping to get it read this month.

I also have to drum throughout the day, I drummed yesterday and it was okay. The morning session was not great but I managed to make up for it throughout the day. Drumming is helping me in many ways such as discipline and motivation and focus. I am hoping to have another lesson at the end of the week, depending on when my friend and drum teacher is free. Because of the coronavirus we still have to do the lessons over WhatsApp, but that is ok. I have also been watching videos from the drum member site that I belong to and that is helping me as well. It should be a good day and a productive day as well.

Thank you for reading and I hope that you have a good day.

  1. As they say, inspiration can come from anywhere, you just have to look for it. In my case, it’s right from this article.
