Hey everyone, how are you?
I don’t have much to do today, except for a session with my key worker, so, to keep myself occupied I am going to write.
Writing and Mental Health
I am going to be spending the day writing mostly, as there is not much else that I have to do today. I also want to keep my brain occupied as if bored it wonders into negative space and start filling it with thoughts that I do not want. So, writing will help me to focus and concentrate on something so that this does not happen. I will be writing more of the book chapter draft. I did some of it yesterday but ended up having to stop because I was in such a bad place mentally. I had a meeting yesterday and it did not go well and I ended up having to leave. Also, I had a phone call with the recovery centre and they are going to pass it on to my key worker for today. My telephone call with my key worker is not until the afternoon, so I have to keep myself occupied until then, that means I will be writing until then.
M I have found that writing and music go well together for me. So, I will make sure that I have my music on when I start writing today. I also want to get some more fiction writing done today, as I have mentioned in previous blogs this week. This morning gives me the time to do that. And I will be making mind maps to get it all sorted out in my head, so that I can go back to writing the short story and the novel. It will be good to write fiction again and I also have some new books to read that I think will help with my writing. I am just doing all I can to help myself during this time. I will also be drumming again today, I want to get a good session on the kit done at some point during the day. And there are some drum videos that I want to check out as well. I’m really hoping that it will be a good day, despite everything.
