Drums!

Hey everyone, how are you?

I should have a drum lesson today and I am looking forward to it.

Today

I should be meeting a friend over video chat for a drum lesson. I have been practising throughout the week. And although I am still not confident with the beat that I am learning, I am happy with how it is coming along. The annoying thing is that because of the crash I cannot sit anywhere for too long. So, I am having to do my practice little and often. Only playing for ten/fifteen minutes max at a time. It is a little frustrating as I want to get a good long session in like I use to. But I know that as I get better, I will be able to play for longer. Either way, it will be good to see my friend and have a chat and a catch up whist we are drumming.

Afterwards I will have a break and then go to another group in the afternoon. I don’t know if I am going to get much writing done, but I will try. The group is the art group and I usually do some writing in it. It is a good and bad thing at the same time. It is good as I am writing, but also bad because there is a lot of noise and that can be distracting. But if I just get a paragraph done, then that will be a paragraph further than I was. The group is only for an hour and the time does pass quickly. After the group, I will close the laptop and just read for the rest of the day. This week has been busy and I am tired from it and the painkillers I am having to take. So, I am hoping for a restorative weekend.

Thank you for reading and I hope that you have a good day.

Annette
