Writing And Friends

Hey everyone, how are you?

Today is going to be a combination of writing and seeing friends.

I am going to be writing this morning after I have done some drum practice. Before seeing some friends in the afternoon. It should be a good day. Writing wise it will be the third chapter of the short story that I will be writing. It is the piece that is at the top of the priority list now that the mental illness book chapter is with the editor again. And I don’t know when we are going to get the chapter back, so I want to make the most of the time that I have now to write the short story chapter. I know that I won’t be able to finish it today but I want to get a good load of it done. It is still at the writing by hand stage. I have not typed any of this chapter up on the computer yet. I will wait until the chapter is finished before I do that.

At some point in the afternoon some friends are coming over. I spoke to them yesterday and we arranged to meet up. It is one of their birthdays tomorrow and it was their little ones birthday the other day. So, it will be good to see them and celebrate with them. It will also be a good chance to get some drumming in as well. As one of them is also my drum teacher and I have mentioned that I want to learn some new beats and get better with the ones that I already know. At the moment it feels like that I am at a place where I know I can advance but I am not sure how to. It is always a good time to see them and my little niece as well. It always makes my day to hang out with them.

I don’t know if I will do anything else throughout the day. Except for in the evening when I am resting before bed, I will read. I am currently reading “Kafka On The Shore” by Haruki Murakami. I am a few chapters in and it is different to what I have read before. It is not the first book of his that I have read, but it is definitely different. But I am interested in seeing how it all pans out.

Thank you for reading and I hope that you have a good day.
