Lately I have been getting a lot of tension headaches and I think a lot of it is down to the stress of last week.
The best thing that I can do when I get these tension headaches is to rest in the dark. Most of the time I also take painkillers that are prescribed to me by my doctor and they usually knock me out. Although sometimes it is just enough to relax the muscles and release the tension that way. Yesterday I was able to take some painkillers have a sleep and then just watch some football. It was nice to have a restful day after what was a busy and stressful week. The headache started on the Wednesday evening and I was able to get it under control for a couple of days but it came back yesterday. I am hoping that will have subsided with a good night of restful and relaxing sleep. If the headache continue then in the new year I will get some fascial manipulation done to release it.
Today, I am just going to be spending time making sure that my anxiety doesn’t get the better of me. At the moment, the slightest thing is making me anxious. But I am going to keep on fighting and battle through each wave of anxiety. One of the best things that I can do is to avoid the things that make me anxious. And live in a bubble of only the things that make me happy. So, I will probably just end up drumming and gaming and reading as these are things that keep me relaxed. Although drumming may not be the best thing for me to do if I still have a tension headache. I have managed to practice quite a few times this week so far so I can miss one day if I have to.
