Hey everyone, how are you?
I have a day sat at my desk today as there are a number of things that I want to achieve.
The start of this week did not get off to a good start as I had to go into hospital. Although I was out the next day it took the rest of the day to recover as I was highly medicated. Yesterday I just allowed myself to chill and recover from the start of the week. And I also had an appointment over the phone which I needed to be around for. So, things have piled up a little. Which is why I am going to spend the day at my desk, so, I can try and get some of the stuff done. I have a couple of meetings. One in the morning and one in the afternoon, although I am not sure if I will go to the morning one. I will see how I feel in the morning. Aside from the meetings, I have a tone of writing to get done.
Writing wise, I want to finish off the third chapter of the short story. It is hard because of the damage in my wrist makes it hard to write and type for long periods of time. But I am going to make sure that I make at least some progress with the short story. Otherwise it is going to put me even further behind. I also have some writing that I want to do, which is non-fiction. But before I can start that, I need to talk to my co author of the book chapter. So, I will try and contact her as well and see if we can get this new project off of the ground. If I have some time left then I will dig out my notes on the novel and try and get some more of it written. It has been a while since I looked at the novel, but it is something that I keep coming back to.
I also need to get in some more one handed drumming. As I am still in pain with my wrist. And I have a challenge to get a simple rock beat played with one hand down in two weeks. At the moment I am just working on dynamics and musicality rather than speed. But once I have the best down and the simple fill then I can work on speed. It’s hard when I can only practice for a maximum of thirty minutes at a time. As I have carpel tunnel syndrome in my current “good” wrist. I think it might be a good way to round off the day and get any stress I’m carrying out of my system.
