Hey everyone, how are you?
So, yesterday I was meant to be at the laptop. But after sleeping on it I decided to rest instead.
On Friday night I crashed out asleep, I don’t think I realise how tired I was until I woke up Saturday morning. It was them that I decided to not switch on the laptop and it will be the same for today as well. As I want to make sure that I am fully rested for the week ahead. I have a busy week coming up not just with the writing but also with appointments and meetings. I know that this does mean that I will be writing a lot on Monday and this may cause me to feel stressed. But I think it is the better decision to not write over the weekend and allow myself some time to recover and relax and just generally getting some self-care. There is a balance to life and it is a balance that we all need to work on. Otherwise, we just become stressed out and then we burnout.
One of the things that I’m going to be doing over this weekend is watching sport. Yesterday I watched the international rugby and today I am watching the football. It is something that I find helps me to relax and unwind. And to not think of all the things that I need to do or have not done in the week.I also managed to get in some gaming and I will do some more today. I am currently playing Final Fantasy seven remake. It is a free download currently on the PlayStation and I’ve not played this game before or any of the others so I thought I would download it then give it a go. I usually game in the morning for a couple of hours and I find that this helps me to wake up and not be bombarded with thoughts of the things that I need or ought to do.
Yesterday and today I will be reading my fiction and non-fiction. The fiction book that I want to finish is “The Midnight Library” by Matt Haig. I don’t know if I will finish it today or later on in the week. I’m not going to force myself to complete the book today although I would like to get it finished by the end of the month which is doable. I find that sometimes it is harder to read because of my dyslexia. But I do not let that stop me from reading. I love to read and just immerse myself in the world that the author has created.
Thank you for reading and I hope that you have a good day.
