On A Roll

Hey everyone, how are you?

I am on a roll with my writing and it is hopefully going to continue.

I have been doing my seven hundred and fifty words for ten days in a row and I can see an improvement in my writing. I think it is because I am able to use the seven hundred and fifty words to blow off the cobwebs from the night before and get my brain up and running. I usually write it all in the morning, during the working week, but the weekend it might be different. As I usually lie in during the weekend which means I start writing later than normal. We will see though, it will depend as well on how I am feeling and how well I have slept. As these are factors to how long I stay in bed and how my writing pans out.

Currently I am focussed on the novel and have been writing a chapter a day. It is a draft and so I am not expecting it to be perfect. I am happy with what I have written so far. I have changed it quite a bit from when I originally started it years ago as my writing style has changed over the years and I feel that this is better than the first draft. But I can use the first guide as a map for the first few chapters so I can get back into what I was thinking at the time. I do need to write some character profiles and things like that as what I wrote years ago, is not necessary the same as what I am writing now. I hope over the weekend to get at least two chapters written.

When I’m not writing this weekend I’m going to be reading. I want to get at least halfway through the current book that I’m reading. I am reading the full hunger games book, which is set before the trilogy. It is interesting seeing how one of the main characters in the trilogy is developed in the fourth book. It’s not how I expected it to go. And I am not sure if I like the direction it is going. But I am still going to read on and see what happens. I don’t like to stop a book half way through.

Thank you for reading and I hope that you have a good day.
