The idea behind the website is to write 750 words every day. It does not have to be in a blog or as part of a piece of writing for a novel or anything like that. It can just be a piece of a stream of consciousness, the aim though is that you write at least 750 words. There are badges and achievements for hitting certain milestones, for example, writing for the first time or getting it done in twenty minutes or so many days in a row. And you do not have to do it all at the same time, you can do it throughout the day, just as long as you get that day done in the 24 hours. I tried it for the first time yesterday and at first I did not think that I could get it done, but once you get writing its interesting how easily your mind opens up and starts to wonder around. The best thing about it though, is that it is completely private, unless you decide otherwise, so for me it is a place where I can just put down some thoughts and feel as though I have done something productive for the day. The website is really easy to find as you can just google 750 words and it will appear, but if you don’t want to do that then the link is here.
Today, I am going to start off the day by doing my 750 words and then I have meetings, both in the morning and in the afternoon, so I may not have much time for other writing. However, I am going to try and get some of the short story written before the first meeting. I am going to treat the 750 words as a way of warming up my brain and getting it back into writing mode. It is one of my aims for the week, to get the next chapter finished so it can be uploaded next week. I have some time before the first meeting to write and I want to put it to good use. In the afternoon, my meeting is at an awkward time where I cannot get into anything after lunch and by the time it will have ended I will be too tired to do anything else. Even though I had it checked out, I still get very tired during the day and do have to rest from time to time. The second meeting is a key work about my mental health, so it is important that I go and have a good session. The last meeting that we had it was hard work and I know that today might be as well, so I am slightly apprehensive about it.
In the evening I will more than likely read or get in some drum practice on the practice pad. Just do something that does not involve looking at a screen or anything like that. It should hopefully be a good day, even though it will also be busy.
Thank you for reading and I hope that you have a good day.
